Need some help with that last minute assignment? Take a look at some of these great online resources to help get you through. Mitcham Library Service subscribes to a number of online databases which are freely available to library members.

YourTutor

Need a hand with maths, science, English, or assignment research? Mitcham Library Service now offers free online tutoring! Expert tutors will be online waiting to help you Monday to Friday 4pm - 8pm. The online tutoring service is free to all library patrons and is available to use in the libraries or from home when you need it most. Try it today and make it part of your study routine. Australia and New Zealand Reference Centre

The Australia/NZ Reference Centre contains articles from Australian and New Zealand magazines, newspapers (including the Advertiser), newswires, reference books, and also company information. This database provides local perspectives on current events, business, sports and many other subjects. It also contains articles from many international publications. You will need to enter your library card number and pin to access this resource.

Access Science

Access Science provides the finest collection of science reference materials-online and fully searchable. NoveList is a fiction database that provides subject heading access, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 125,000 fiction titles. Gale Health and Wellness

The Gale Group's Health and Wellness Resource Centre is a comprehensive database that provides easy-to-find answers to health questions. World Book Encyclopedia

World Book Online is an exciting encyclopedia featuring thousands of articles, maps, pictures, sounds, and video that are delivered to you over the Internet. You will need to enter your library card number and pin to access this resource.

Healthinsite

Healthinsite is a world class Internet gateway managed by the Department of Health and Ageing designed to provide you with easy access to reliable health information. The resource covers the topics of conditions and diseases, health and wellbeing, health services and pharmaceuticals to name just a few. Healthinsite links to over 14,000 information resources from approved partner web sites and is free to use. To find information simply enter your search topic and click go, it couldn't be easier.

AskNow!

AskNow is a pilot initiative of the Council of Australian State Libraries. Ask a question and get a response in real time. AskNow will help you with your inquiry, send you useful web pages to look at, or ask you questions for more information. At the end of the session you will receive a transcript with a list of web sites visited. How does it work? Community Population Profile

The City of Mitcham Community Profile is designed to inform community groups, Council, investors, business, students and the general public about Mitcham's community. Australian Dictionary of Biography

The biographical articles published in this first online edition are those found in the printed ADB: Volumes 1 to 16 in the continuing series and the Supplementary Volume. The articles are concise, authoritative accounts of the lives of significant and representative persons in Australian history. It is operated by the Australian Dictionary of Biography (ADB), Research School of Social Sciences, Australian National University.
